Inherited & probate property ยท Texas
Inherited a home? We’ll help you sell it — with a clear plan and no pressure.
Kinship Estate Co. helps families sell inherited and probate property across Texas. A fair, written offer, coordination with your own attorney, and a timeline that works for you. No repairs, no cleanout, no fees.
You talk to one person, start to finish — never a call center or a lead broker.
How it works
Four steps, at your pace
The first conversation is about your situation, not a sales pitch. Here’s the whole path.
Tell us about the property
Where are you in probate? Is there a will, an executor, more than one heir? We start from wherever you actually are — “we haven’t filed anything yet” is a fine place to begin.
We coordinate with your attorney
We work alongside your probate attorney on the right path to closing. Don’t have one? We can point you to Texas counsel who works with out-of-state heirs. They work for you, not for us — we don’t take a referral fee.
You get a written offer, with the math shown
Comparable sales, any cleanout or repair costs, and how we reached the number. What you sign is what funds — we don’t renegotiate after a walkthrough.
Close on your timeline
Title handles remote signing if heirs are in different states. Liens and back taxes are paid at closing. Proceeds go where the estate plan or the court says.
Situations we help with
The complicated ones are welcome here
Inherited or probate homes
Including estates using a Texas Affidavit of Heirship. We’ll walk the path with you and your attorney.
Multiple heirs
Whether everyone agrees or not. A written offer often turns a stuck family conversation into a concrete decision.
Out-of-state heirs
You don’t have to fly back. We handle the Texas side and title arranges remote signing.
As-is, any condition
Take what matters to you and leave the rest. We handle the cleanout and haul-away.
Why families trust us
Straight answers, start to finish
- ✓You talk to me directly. Not a call center, and never a broker who sells your information.
- ✓We tell you up front how we work. Sometimes we buy the home directly; sometimes we bring a vetted buyer. Either way, it’s in writing.
- ✓No pressure, ever. The offer stays on the table. Compare it to an agent or another buyer — we won’t flinch.
- ✓We stay in our lane. We’re property buyers, not your attorney or tax advisor, and we’ll tell you when a question belongs with them.
The honest part
We keep it plain.
Kinship Estate Co. buys homes directly from families. We are not real estate agents, and we are not attorneys — nothing here is legal or tax advice, and we’ll always encourage you to have your own probate attorney confirm what’s right for your estate.
Meet the founder
You’re dealing with a real person.
I’m Chandon Clay, the founder of Kinship Estate Co. When you reach out, you’re talking to me — one accountable person, from the first call to closing.
I started this company because settling a loved one’s home is one of the hardest, most confusing things a family goes through — often from another state, often while still grieving, often with siblings who don’t fully agree. My job isn’t to pressure you into anything. It’s to give you a clear, honest option, coordinate the hard parts with your attorney and the title company, and let you decide on your own timeline. If selling to us isn’t your best move, I’ll tell you that too.
— Chandon Clay
